Portrait painting has a long tradition
in the art world and is held by many to be
the most demanding of all art disciplines.
Because the final painting must not only look
like the person, but to be a truly successful
portrait, it must also evoke the true essence
of that person. In the following images you
will see a small sampling of those portraits
that range from very traditional formal
portraits to the young and energetic
children's portraits. Each brings to life the
people that were painted. Begin by browsing
and then feel free to contact me to discuss
the working process and scheduling
considerations. Pricing is based on the size
of the painting and the number of people in
the portrait.
"All art is but imitation of nature."
~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca (4 B.C. - 65 A.D.)
OETA recently did a documentary portrait
on Mike showcasing how he got his start as an
illustrator. We have posted the videos here
for your enjoyment.
