"Robin of Sherwood" was inspired by the childhood legend. Books have always been very important to me and I want to share that same love for books with my children. So every night before we go to bed, we read from at least two picture storybooks or one of the childhood classics that I grew up with like Treasure Island, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer or Robin Hood. Eli so loved the story about Robin Hood, that for his fifth birthday, that's who he wanted to be. So I painted him as Robin Hood, his little sister as Maid Marian and his best friend as his sidekick Little John.
